Rest can do wonders when coupled with work.

Rest is a tool. It is a means of recovery and repair; to allow for strength and change to lock into place, and become a new benchmark for further change.

Within the fitness industry, it is widely accepted that a period of rest is required to maintain optimal performance after intense use of the body. Not only does it allow for repair and growth, but it also allows for greater strength to be utilised when returning to work.

This principle applies to the many areas of life; following rest comes strength, growth, repair, freshness and broader utility.

When used consciously (read: not as a tool to procrastinate), rest is a formiddable asset and tool to be utilised.
